About these terms

These terms govern your use of apexprecicost.com, operated by Apex PreciCost Consultant. By using the site you accept them. They do not govern any consultancy engagement — that is covered by the separate written agreement for the work in question, which takes precedence over anything on this page.

The free tools are indicative

The rebar weight calculator, the shape-code reference and the savings estimator are provided free and in good faith. They implement standard published formulas and are tested, but they are informational tools, not engineering deliverables.

They must not be used as the sole basis for fabrication, procurement or a commercial commitment. Cutting lengths, bend deductions and mandrel radii depend on the code and shape code governing your specific project, and the figures shown here assume conventional values. Always verify against the current edition of the standard your project is contracted to, and have any schedule checked by a competent engineer before it goes to the yard.

The savings estimator produces an indicative order of magnitude from the inputs you provide. It is not a quotation and not a guarantee of a result.

No professional relationship

Reading this website, using its calculators or sending an enquiry does not create a consultant–client relationship. Nothing here is professional engineering advice for your particular project. A relationship begins only when we have both signed a written agreement for a defined scope.

Accuracy of content

We take care to keep technical content correct and current, including references to IS, BS, ACI and Eurocode standards. Standards are revised, and our articles are a summary rather than a substitute for the standards themselves, which remain the authority. If you spot an error, please tell us — we will correct it.

Intellectual property

The content, design, logo and brand of this site belong to Apex PreciCost Consultant. You are welcome to quote or link to our articles with attribution. You may not republish them wholesale, or present our material as your own.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the free content or tools on this website. This does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Liability for paid consultancy work is dealt with in the engagement agreement, not here.

We link to standards bodies, software vendors and other third-party sites for reference. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

We may update these terms. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
